Our countryside is chock full of hidden wonders. Consider the rural expanse of San Miguel CA.
Just north of Paso Robles enjoy the historic gem of San Miguel Arcangel (or San Miguel Archangel) the 16th California mission founded in 1797 tracing the El Camino Real trail. This rural treasure hasn’t changed much during the past centuries.
Unfortunately, due to earthquake damage, the Mission is temporarily closed to visitors, but the grounds and outbuildings, including a delightful museum shop, are educational treasures not to be missed.
In the surrounding hillsides you’ll
find rows and rows of vineyards, almond trees, and horse and cattle ranches reminding us of an all but forgotten way of life. Many new vineyards and wineries are popping up here, some with tasting rooms. The winding roads are perfect for bicycle rides in the country.
We are a mixture of many cities and towns but you’ll recognize one thing – we enjoy sharing our slice of paradise with travelers.
